I’m looking forward to this Monday with a weary sort of enthusiasm. Hubby had the flu this weekend, and while I seem fine at the moment, I feel like there is peril lurking around any corner. Also, I’m getting a new department supervisor at work and I’m hoping it goes really well. Stuff like that is always unnerving though. What if he doesn’t like me? What if he expects we’ll all work super late? What if he wants me to take the wallpaper down off of my desk and filing cabinets? Ugh. Stress.
On the other hand, I’m feeling ready and prepared for the year with my new Ultimate Blogging Planner, and feeling pretty accomplished at having aced my first attempt at making two ingredient soap!
Has anyone in your family been hit with the flu? They say its a bad year. What are you looking forward to this Monday? What have you made this week? Its time to share!!

DIY Craft Table by The Crafty Blog Stalker
I am SO happy that Katie shared this!! For anyone looking at this and thinking, “Hrm, I wonder if i should make one…” DO IT!! You see, in 2011 I went to a work conference for about 3 days. When I came home, hubby had surprised me with my own table like this! Mine even included a space for my to do my sewing. =D Hubby had painted the top though, and since then its bubbled and peeled. I’m sure Katie’s wood stain is much better. You can see my table below. Forgive my cell phone pics and my “I just drove 4.5 hours” look.
And my Personal Favorite:
DIY Photo Light Box by One Creative Mommy
I cannot stress enough to fellow bloggers that photos are everything. Its the one piece of advice that I hear over and over. I’m routinely trying to make mine better, and a light box is a great first step. I relied on something just like this for the past several months. Until Christmas when hubby surprised me with and AWESOME pop-up lightbox kit (only $89 at Amazon) and then I bought my own set of portrait lights (Only $52 on Amazon for 3 lights 2 with umbrellas). You can see some awful cell pics of my set up below. But I stress, TRY a DIY lightbox! You’ll be amazed of the difference it makes.
