Well hello there!!! It has been a while, I know. I had a wonderful vacation with hubby. The long and short of it: We drove the beetle to the East coast and the ocean. Once in New York we realized the engine block (heads and exhaust valves) were deformed and we had to contact their local VW club to find a garage to fix it. We ended up meeting some amazing VW owners. One (Scott) towed us to his machine shop and hubby tore down/rebuilt the engine in 9 hours with used parts donated by other VW owners. Seriously, Beetle/Van people are the best. We met a guy in Ohio who lived in Mass, so when we got to his home state we looked him up and camped in his yard. He bought us lobster for dinner. We came home to MI up through Canada where we stopped in Ottawa and I broke out my high school french. Once back in MI we stopped at a place called Stevarino’s Pizza that, it turns out, doesn’t serve pizza. We drove home in the dark in a terrible storm that we found out afterward was a tornado. In the end we saw Caves, Mountains, Goats, The ocean, the second oldest graveyard in the US, Fourth of July fireworks, lots of other Beetles, and made many beautiful memories. Happy to be home safe!!
Wow, anyway. Enough of my rambling. I know you all made a great show for Brenna at Life After Laundry. What a great guest host amiright!? But I am dying to see your antics for myself. So link ’em up!!

I have a space just like the one Megan describes. It always ends up with mail, keys and often jewelry and discarded scarfs/accessories on it. Pinned it!

DIY Wall art by Mom in a Music City
I love how easy Sabine’s design is. I mean really, it is just wood blocks. But what a great impact in a space! Not to mention buying large art is usually very expensive. Making it would save a pretty penny!

I saw this same colored VW Bug on my way home from church this morning. I knew it couldn’t be you, but I thought it’d be fun if it was.
